One attribute of stained glass windows, especially when they include some textured glass, is that they can provide some privacy – a must in this important location. Bathrooms are a room included in many of the photos that my customers send to me following renovation or decoration, demonstrating the new homes and purpose of my stock. This page is one of the examples of Rooms with stained glass.
A new life for a Victorian window

Lauren chose this geometric window from my Victorian category (you can do the same – and see what I currently have for sale) and I shipped it to her in the USA. She put it in her bathroom – I love the way it “floats”.
An unusual window in its new home
This is an unusual window, with a design in the centre that is hard to describe, originally from Finchley, North London. Many of my windows get shipped to other countries, but this one has stayed in the UK: look how Sarah’s used it in her beautiful bathroom:

Sarah chose this from my 700mm – 1000mm horizontal (27 inch to 39 inch) category, have a look at what else I have in that size range.
Simple windows making a big difference
I shipped a couple of Flemish leaded windows to Ilona in Oregon:
She had them installed them on either side of an addition to her house. One is a window in a bathroom:

Ilona said: ‘We’re very happy with the results and are so glad we found your site when we did. … we were not originally planning windows where your pieces are now located. Finding you literally changed the plan at nearly the last moment… In retrospect, seeing how much more light these pieces added, we can hardly believe we did not originally plan for windows on those walls! More light is always a good thing.
This small project has completely changed our second-floor living environment. Your windows were integral to the look and feel of the final result. Thank you!’

An old window with a new job
This is a window I rescued back in 2019. The stained glass has beautiful colours, and an interesting pattern, but the paintwork was in need of some TLC!
Ulrike bought this salvaged glass for her bathroom. A paint job and a new home has done wonders for this antique:
A stained glass rose
Vance bought this stained glass window from my floral category, which I picked up from a house in Romford, North East London, and installed it in his stylish bathroom:

A window on high
This former top light bay window has found a new home as a toilet window, not too far from me, in another part of London. It is striking against the black and white tiles:

A window under the stairs
Asim sent me a photo of this top light window in its new location, bringing light to a downstairs toilet:
A stained glass light box
This frameless floral panel is beautiful as a work of art on its own:
But look at what Ash created with it: an amazing stained glass light box:
To be honest I’m not certain if this is in a bathroom (it was some time ago), but I think it could be!
Teardrop
The shape in the centre to this top light window is unusual, but the hammered glass surrounding it is appealing too.
This of one of those windows that look great both ways up! It now provides some privacy in Suzanne’s bathroom in Canada.
Hammered glass is an element of quite a few of the old windows I have for sale.
Old British windows in a luxury Wisconsin bathroom
While I can’t remember exactly where I got these from…
…I distinctly recall that no one cared because I don’t think I paid anything for these tatty old windows. I think they look very much at home in Georgia’s Wisconsin bathroom! In her remodelling project Georgia has slightly spaced these out from what would have been a closer arrangement when in the side landing / stairwell of a British house. I love the contrast with the bare wood trim, marble and this is one of the best examples of internal secondary glazing I’ve ever seen, because you can’t tell it’s there!
Note that bathroom windows often contain opaque glass, to provide privacy while letting light through. Browse my selection of obscured glass to find an option that could work for you.
…and finally
I have one last picture of a stained glass window in a bathroom to share with you. It’s one that I see every day, as it is in my own bathroom. I rescued it from a house in Liverpool:
