Sheds with stained glass

Sheds and outhouses can be for storage, but that’s no reason not to make them pretty – a decoration for your garden. Many of them are garden rooms for spending time in. This is one of the ways to make use of stained glass outdoors.

Paula’s outhouse

I sold Paula this clear art deco window, which was originally from a house near me, in Ruislip, North West London:

She put it in the door to her outhouse, in-between windows that she had rescued from elsewhere:

A brick outhouse/shed. A black wooden door with a clear art deco leaded glass window, in the centre, between two sets of two clear leaded windows on either side.

A garden room full of windows

Graham bought quite a few windows from me:

It was great to receive this message from him some years later!

“Hi Richard, Probably 4 years ago I came over and bought some glass from you for our little garden house. I knew I would be a long time sending you pictures I promised.
The roof is a green roof, those 6 pack plugs which the garden centre plants come in, filled with compost, fitted into the roof frame and covered in gravel once planted, in it’s 3rd year. More or less put the roof on and filled the sides afterwards.

Anyway, now finished, a lovely space and a great use for windows.
Best wishes for your continued success and many thanks for providing the raw materials for our ‘Glass House’ great for having coffee in the fresh air on especially on colder days.” Graham – Oxfordshire.

Paul’s mancave

Paul bought these two very different windows from me, one sunray and one floral:

He put the stained glass windows in two of the walls in his shed:

Stuart’s summer house

I acquired several of these geometric windows from Egham, West of London. Stuart integrated them into his summer house in Putney – a nice spot to read a book!

Nearly all my glass comes in small quantities – these are antiques remember – but I always have a wide variety of geometric windows in stock. Explore the geometric category to find one to integrate into your own shed.

Martin’s mancave

I sold this window to Martin:

A vertical wooden framed stained glass window with a diamond focus.

He included it as one of the windows in his man shed:

An open wooden shed, with two stained glass windows in the walls, containing a black garden table and chairs.

Fleur-de-lis

I bought this set of fleur-de-lis windows, originally from a house in Sandbach, Cheshire:

Steven bought one for the ground floor of this little garden house, and I sent it to him in Germany.

A big outdoor room

Denise has integrated floral stained glass into this wooden outdoor room, a summer house of sorts:

Have a look through the floral page for windows with a similar theme that are currently in stock.

Mary’s shed

Mary bought a couple of these top light windows from me back in 2016, in the early days of my business:

They look great in her shed!

These aren’t the only sheds my customers have used stained glass in – see also Andy’s shed and Barn.
