Poingnant

Taken from my window I think this photo is poingant because the mutilated house in the background is the one which this little top light was ripped from. If you look carefully you can see a house with scaffolding. Its Apex is being “upgraded” with plastic fascias, there’s the obligatory loft extension and though you cannot see I assure you it now has bland cheap uPVC windows. An ordinary but quaint 1920s semi being turned into two flats with no consideration for adjacent neighbours.

I rescued several of these. For years I walked past this house knowing that one day they would likely come into my care but it is bitter sweet. £25 each. Click here for more information.
